Marcus Alderson
Director
Marcus Alderson was born locally & is a Dales man at heart, with family roots in the Swaledale village of Muker, date back to the seventeenth century. The Yorkshire Dales were Marcus’ inspiration for setting up his very successful independent estate agency in 2006. He has worked in the industry for over 30 years & takes genuine pleasure in helping people buy & sell property in Richmondshire & the outlying areas.
Richard Thompson
Director
Richard began his estate agency career in Cambridge back in 1985, followed by 12 successful years running the Northallerton & Richmond branches of a national estate agent. Over the years, he has gained invaluable experience in all aspects of the business. Richard is very much a people person, firmly believing in a friendly, fair & professional approach.
Carla Sweete
Rentals Manager
Carla has seen the business grow to become the success it is today. Taking pride in traditional values and offering clients a first class service is core to Carla’s belief and communication being key in achieving this. She feels that it is important to retain that personal connection with clients at such a stressful and emotional time and make it as enjoyable an experience as possible.
Rosie Dent
Senior Negotiator
Quality of service sets you apart and Rosie provides the type of service that she would wish to receive herself. She’s always trying to find the buyer to fit the home. Rosie believes that our home spaces have become more important than ever, so it goes without saying that she feels privileged working in areas of such outstanding countryside and The National Parks.
Claire Davies
Valuer & Negotiator
Claire began her estate agency career alongside Marcus with a corporate company at 17 yrs old as an Office Junior, latterly being promoted to Branch Manager and Head Valuer (Marcus was actually working for Claire in those early years !) After 12 years Claire left to have her family, she joined our Team in late 2021and is now one of our valuers.
Susie Allison
Sales Negotiator
Sue has been in a Sales and Marketing Role most of her life running her own business in the construction industry for over 30 years, more recently Sue has found a love of Property after carrying out a couple of renovations herself. Sue started out helping Marcus in a Marketing role around 8 years ago helping with social media and a new website, but she also helps with Sales Progressions on a weekly basis.

Answering your questions
Yes there is no fee and no obligation, unless you require a Probate Valuation with no intention of selling, then we may make a small charge.
- Request a property valuation
- Accept valuation and check your compliance certificates – electric/gas/EPC/Septic Tank is it compliant?
- Property goes on the market
- We find you a suitable buyer
- Instruct your solicitor
- Await survey/local searches/enquiries
- Exchange and Complete (organise removals)
- Hand over the keys

We can move as quickly as you need us to, within days if we have all the information we need.
Make sure all your compliance certs are up to date – Electric/Gas/EPC report and if the property needs it decorate inside and out using neutral colours, tidy the garden (leave it as you would like it to be kept by the tenant)
Our finder’s fee is £499 and an option of a full management service is provided at 10% this includes collection of rent and regular property inspections.
